Here I will give out some strategy and the Mission Goals of each mission. Ive been on them all (and finished everyone with silver or gold, no bronzes or spaces left)! So I know the game around!
Simply destroy all Probe Droids on the whole place. After each Probey is destroyed, go for the TIE Bombers that bombs Mos Eisley.
Recommanded Ship: X-Wing/Millenium Falcon
Go to the side which I assume must be the north-west end (there is a church with an altar on one place, and the altar is always standing to the east, right? So then you know where thats north and so) as you travel Barkesh. After a while, you will find some trains. The long ones are your to protect, the small fat ones are trains that shots enemies. Follow the long trains and protect them, and youre at the victory screen.
Recommanded Ship: A-Wing/TIE Interceptor
Follow the river as it goes right, then take left at the first branch, then right on the second, and your at the Nonnah. Protect it with your life. An Imperial Transport will come around, and if it isnt destroyed before the landing sequence (when it hits the ground), it will get invincible/invulnerable whatever you call it. If it do land, it will drop 2 AT-STs, 3 AT-PTs and 4 Tanks. Protect the Nonnah all the time. After a while a new transport will appear, protect it and when it is moving away from the Nonnah (after evacuation is ready), you can blow the Nonnah if you like, but keep the shuttle intact.
Recommanded Ship: Speeder
You can only be a Speeder on this level, the mission is spliced, if you got the new version or not. I will separate it for you so you know what to do.
If Wedge (or who it is) says he finds something strange on his scopes. You shall destroy all Probe Killers (like if that name should scare anyone, its not much harder than an average Probey). Then head back to the city, find and protect the Capital Tower. After a while a cinema scene will appear, showing the Tech Center, now you must go there and protect it. After the Millenium Falcon have appeared, head straight for the Capital Tower and patrol around, then make sure the buildings isnt destroyed, and all AT-ATs is destroyed.
The other version starts without Wedges phrase, and starts at the Capital Tower, then you shall just destroy all boats in the ending, otherwise its the same.
Recommanded Ship: X-Wing/V-Wing/TIE Interceptor
You shall protect all civilian yachts (on newer versions they keep red on the radar), if you blow (or anyone else does) anyone of them, the mission is a failure. The Y-Wings cannot die either, protect them so they can disable the yachts with their Ion Cannons. Destroy all missile turrets you may find first, then go after laser towers. After a while, Wedge will report that he is on the other side of the planet and that you got a BIG problem, the 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron is coming against you. These guys are the best of the best. Even now, continue to follow the Y-Wings for protection. If you encounter big groups of Interceptors, blow them (only V-Wings with Homing Cluster Missiles should do this, otherwise you shall stick to fly between them and the Y-Wings, as their primary target is the Y-Wings, thus keeping them from firing, you wont be a target, but the Y-Wings cannot be fired at either. Remember that you will find a HUGE turret at a place, you must blow this, or it will nuke Gerrard V and its population. Hurry to blow, with missiles of all sorts, TIEs can shoot normally at it, at a rapid-fire mode (default mode with shooting 1-2-3-4 instead of 12-34 or 1234). V-Wings can also shoot in the rapid-fire mode against this one, to enter rapid-fire mode, simply press C Down once (in Lukes controls as I prefer). Watch out for burnouts on this mission, it will take a lot of hyperboosts and blasts!! After a while you will see a Y-Wing that disables a TIE Interceptor, and this is what you hear: #Y-Wing# "Ha, like shooting Y-Wings do ya? Heres a little message from Gold Squadron!" #TIE Interceptor# "This is liuetanant Kasan Moor of the 128th TIE Interceptor Squadron to an unidentified Y-Wing. Are you quite done? My vehicle has been disabled for a good two minutes now!" #Y-Wing# "Kasan Moor, consider yourself a prisoner of the Rebel Alliance." #Kasan# "Well if you quit shooting on me I have a proposal to make, one which would serve us all.", she will turn to your side and get an own X-Wing.
Recommanded Ship: X-Wing/TIE Interceptor
First knock out all defense you come upon when going the main route. After a while you will reach a force field, destroy all turrets and houses thats around there, then head out into the unknown, if you are lucky, you might find a single house, inside you will find some Advanced Shield Technology, which will give your ships a new shield.
After a while you will come upon a deep valley, and beside it you will find a laser turret and a BIG BIG BIG strange generator. Blow the BIG BIG BIG generator, and you will be able to enter the force field. Millions of AT units and TIEs will come to the force field place, protect your tanks at all costs, they are more important than you, remember that!
Recommanded Ship: Speeder
Simply knock out all factories, and all radars that you encounter. Then you win! Piece of cake!
(sorry bout that name, but I dont know it to good, its different in all versions and as I play all, I cannot remember any name, it just bumps inside each other all the time)
Recommanded Ship: TIE Interceptor/A-Wing/Millenium Falcon
Destroy all tankers with red flames upon it (the empire insignia), but keep the ones with a blue line on the bottom out of fire, they are civilian. Do not blow anything else, just TIEs and Imperial tankers that is stored upon this floating platforms. Your radar will become wack, and you cannot move as quickly and good as you should do normally, this thanks to all the Tibanna gas that overwhelms the place, and is stored inside the tankers. The Tibanna gas increases Imperial firepower, and gives energy to the civilians. This city is very like Bespin, if you ever have watched Starwars V: The Empire Strikes Back you will know what I mean with "looks like Bespin".GROOVY THINGS FOUND HERE: 1. The trench that goes around the Taloraan can be runned through. 2. If you enter the city with a TIE Interceptor, you can fly around and see something great in the middle. The platform where they turn Han Solo to carbonite!!!! This isnt even Bespin, but that must have been the thought from beginning, as Ive found other WAV sounds in the game on this level. What about "Bespin, its a beuty!", that shows this should be Bespin first, but as nobody should know of this place, they changed the name and created new WAVs.
Recommanded Ship: Speeder
This is prodably the mission that took longest time for me to finish, tightly followed by Defection at Correllia and Beggars Canyon. But now I have a silver medal there, and know EXACTLY how to finish it, but Im not fast enough to get gold with it, though I know it is possible with this technique, as it isnt mine from the very beginning. Here it goes. When you start the mission, press and hold R, turn right and find a generator, blow it. After the cinema scene, hold Z and R on the same time. Then go for the two turrets that stands there, and the two barracks, if you go to far, and need to turn to get them, you skip them, this mission needs to be quickly done. Then race beyind the AT-AT that should be straight in front of you, beyond him there will be a barracks, blow it. Increase speed to full throttle, speed over the hill. See three (if you havent been fast enough, one or two) AT-PTs, these are your to defend. When moving towards the AT-AT, blow two barracks that is close to it, use your tow cable to put the AT-AT down. Do this by holding down A and then hold R or Z, depending on what direction you shall go around the AT-AT. Moff Seerdon will start to talk, ignore him. Blow the corpse of the AT-AT to make the imperials unable to repair it. Kill some humans, about 2. Then head for the gate, blow one turret (if the gate is down, you should restart the mission, then it is too late) or two. Tow down the AT-AT in the horizon. Destroy some tanks in the area. Head for another AT-AT and tow it. Keep away all tanks from the AT-PTs, after a while TIE Bombers appears, blow them too, but be sure they wont crash on the AT-PTs. After the AT-PTs have reached the landing zone (1 will givve you bronze avaliability, 2 will make silver avaliable and 3 will make gold avaliable, I can arrange 3 rescued, but not at that time rate, my record is 3 seconds from gold). Race to the research facility, blow two barracks there and three turrets (two missile and one laser). Let the facility be. Go up onto the hill and terminate the units there, inside the house you will find Seeker Advanced Proton Torpedoes. Destroy the Facility and you are victorious.
Recommanded Ship: X-Wing/Millenium Falcon/V-Wing
Simply protect the train, and after a while you will reach the city Chandrila. Protect the evacuation shuttles, destroy all AT-STs and TIEs. Victory.
Recommanded Ship: Y-Wing/TIE Interceptor
Blow all transmitters, small red-black things that is scattered accross the vulcano. Blow them with bombs or TIE Fire (also missiles works). After blowing all, head for the middle, there you shall blow all pillars with white lines on. Victory.
NOTE: Final level for the whole game
Recommanded Ship: X-Wing/Millenium Falcon/V-Wing
Simply wipe out every imperial, make sure to get the Seeker Cluster Missiles that will help you on the first secret level. After all Imperials are dead, kill Moff Seerdon.
Recommanded Ship: V-Wing only
Hyperboost first, come to the first World Devastator (looks like the Barracks in Starcraft to me), destroy a tanker upon it. Then take out the leg jets. Take out all TIE Devastators, then go the next World Devastator, next TIE Squadron, and so on until you gain victory. If you want gold or silver you have to destroy some Hoverboats too.
Recommanded Ship: T16 Skyhopper
Fly through Beggars canyon in you old T16. Go the main route and then turn left on the first turn, then keep straight, if you win, you will be awarded bronze. If you go left in the first branch, and then turn left again, and win, you get the silver medal. If you go to the first right, you can get gold (this is REALLY hard). GROOVY THINGS FOUND ON THIS LEVEL: 1. The statue you see at the ending place, is seen in Special Edition Starwars IV: A New Hope in a newspaper that is close to Lukes uncle when they eat! 2. If you go REALLY close to the surface upon the sand (not in the trench, go up to the real surface and keep there exactly) you wont be ranked cheater, Ive only got this to work in some placed that is lower than the others in the right branch.
Recommanded Ship: X-Wing
Simply go all the way until the walls becomes purple, then find a hole on an altar, there you must send in a proton torpedoe, remember that if you got seekers, then you can lock on to the hole.
Recommanded Ship: Speeder
Destroy all probeys, then go for Rogue 10, destroy three AT-STs that is close to him. Then race over the hill and destroy all AT units you encounter. Victory.
How to find all secret levels
Battle of Calamari can be found by destroying Moff Seerdon. Beggars Canyon will be found by getting a medal (any medal) on each level. Death Star Trench, you mst have medals on each level, but no bronze. The Battle of Hoth, you need all gold medals.
